As of last night, the rough draft of my Sirens paper is DONE! It's currently at 10 pages, but will likely grow to be 12 or so.

Oh, man, I've been wanting to go to that con since I found out about it (it's even close to me!), but it's so expensive. :(

Your paper sounds super-interesting.

I know. :( It's a small con, and I think they intend to keep it small. I'll definitely be posting about it afterwards for anyone interested, though.

I'm kind of :( about using high fees to keep a con small...surely there are other ways to do that.

Very true. I've been contemplating the level of privilege required to attend this particular con, and if possible I might just bring it up with one of the organizers.
