The prose is kind of sluggish, from what I read of the amazon preview; it is into describing things more than I like in a novel, especially a fantasy novel. Does that improve, or do you just sort of get used to it?

And is Adam from an English Fantasy Counterpart Culture (warning, TV Tropes link) and Xinai from a Chinese FCC? Are there a lot of FCCs in this book?
